A Complete Waterfront Tear-Down & Redesign
This lot had dynamic views of the Chesapeake Bay and Bodkin Creek but the existing house had to be torn down and rebuilt. In addition, soft ground conditions necessitated a helical pier footing system and a base flood elevation five feet above grade. This complex lot was skinny, to say the least.
Zoning regulations, critical area elements, flood elevations, and construction logistics were complex,
but the end result is beyond amazing!
A Modern Coastal Farmhouse Design
Doug initially helped this client search for a home in the resale market. After considering many options, including renovating an older home to suit their needs, they elected to find a lot and build their perfect home instead.
Doug was able to help them find the perfect lot and build their dream home for nearly the same budget they had established for older homes. The home features a variety of design elements, including reclaimed wood, custom built-ins, and unique coastal elements.
