Doug's entrepreneurial spirit led him to co-found William Douglas Homes in 1995. In this capacity, he played a pivotal role in overseeing the construction of over 270 semi-custom and custom homes, as well as managing extensive remodeling projects. Additionally, he was instrumental in the development of more than 400 lots in Maryland. His responsibilities encompassed the entire construction and development process, including lot feasibility assessments, procurement, permitting, and the actual construction of homes. 

In 2003, Doug expanded his service by partnering in a Real Estate Brokerage Company, which he managed until it was sold in 2014. Today, he continues to practice real estate as a licensed professional with Douglas Realty. Doug is renowned for his skillful negotiation techniques in both purchasing and selling real estate. Over the years, he has worked closely with developers, buyers, and sellers, facilitating countless successful transactions. 

Today, Doug continues to build custom homes, showcasing his expertise in crafting exquisite living spaces. His specialization lies in building homes on narrow lots, a complex endeavor that demands an in-depth understanding of Chesapeake Bay critical area guidelines and the intricacies of waterfront property development. His extensive knowledge of the building permit process, land use, and feasibility studies has earned him a stellar reputation in the industry.
